The development team working on Batman: Arkham Origins at the Montreal Warner Bros. studio is planning to add a multiplayer mode to the upcoming title, despite the fact that no official announcement has been made about it so far.
A source inside the team tells Kotaku that players will have a chance to become the villains of the Batman universe and fight both Batman and his sidekick Robin in a series of structured missions.
Apparently, gamers will have different skills based on their allegiance to Bane or the Joker and it seems that a complex progression system will be in place.
Warner Bros. has not offered any comment on the rumored multiplayer mode.
Batman: Arkham Origins is expected to launch on the PC, the PS3, the Xbox 360 and the Wii U on October 25 of this year.
