Batman: Arkham City, the new open-world, third-person adventure title from Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros., has just received the official confirmation of its Collector's Edition, which will be available in limited quantities later this year alongside the regular title.

Batman: Arkham City is eagerly anticipated by a lot of people, as it will try to improve on the already impressive features of its predecessor, Arkham Asylum, while throwing in lots of new characters from the Batman comics, including Catwoman or Robin, not to mention villains like The Riddler or Two-Face.

Now, in order to drum up an even larger amount of enthusiasm, Rocksteady and Warner Bros. have confirmed the game's Collector's Edition, which will include a variety of unique items, both real life goodies as well as downloadable ones.

Check out the full list of bonus content included in the Batman: Arkham City Collector's Edition below.

-Custom Batman statue produced by Kotobukiya
-Collectible art book
-Early access to the Iceberg Lounge Challenge Map and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns skin
-Batman: Arkham City album from WaterTower Music including original songs by hit artists, available via digital redemption
-Bonus DC Universe animated original movie, Batman: Gotham Knight.

The whole Collector's Edition for Batman: Arkham City will be delivered in a special box, decorated with artwork from the game which highlights the collectible Batman statue, and is available for all platforms including the PC, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.

Batman: Arkham City sees the Dark Knight take on a whole district of his native Gotham city controlled by criminals and some of his most famous arch villains, including Dr. Hugo Strange, The Riddler, Two-Face or The Penguin.

The game will be released right before the busy holiday season, on October 18, in North America, and October 21, in Europe and the rest of the world, in both a regular version and the Collector's Edition you see above.
