A-Data seems to have taken a break from unleashing new storage devices in favor of delivering something for the power supply market, in the form of a certain series known simply as BN.

In some ways, A-Data can be seen as similar to Green House (or any other company with multi-faceted product portfolios) even though their business outlets aren't exactly pitted against each other.

Granted, they both deliver storage devices and the like, but the former also sells power supplies (among other things), while the latter has monitors (again, among others) in its portfolio.

Now, A-Data is capitalizing on one of the differences by not jumping out to challenge Green House's flash drives with one of its own, not that it has this sort of habit.

Instead, the outfit approached a different market segment altogether, that of power supplies in fact.

Specifically, A-Data put together the BN line, which is made up of four units, their outputs being of 400 W, 450 W, 500 W and 550 W, respectively.

They are compliant with the Energy Star 5.0 standard, as well as ATX 12V v2.3, while their efficiency of up to 85% earned them the 80Plus Bronze rating as well.

What's more, all of them have a MTBF of 100,000 hours and share all specifications except the aforementioned wattages.

To elaborate, each PSU has two 12V rails and 95% active PFC (Power Factor Correction), plus a fan with a diameter of 120mm (for cooling, obviously).

All the parts are packed inside laminated steel casings and can be looked at in detail by visiting A-Data's official website.

The company doesn't exactly give any prices but it is reported that the 400 W, the 450 W and the 500 W units can already be found on pre-order, for the prices of 60 Euro, 63 Euro and 66 Euro, respectively.
