Living in Canada and planning to get a Transformer Prime for this Holiday season? Well, then you might just be in luck as BestBuy revealed that Asus’ quad-core tablet should start selling on December 22.

That’s only three days after US is supposed to get the tablet, and significantly earlier than the Prime’s European availability estimates.

However, there’s a catch as currently all the tablets appear to be sold out according to Best Buy’s website.

There is still a chance that the Transformer Prime will make its appearance in stores as well as from other retailers, but I guess we’ll have to wait for December 22 to arrive to see how this one plays out.

Pricing for the 32GB version of the Transformer Prime in Canada seems to be set at $499.99 CAD which equals $491 US or 366 EUR.

There is apparently a reserve number of Prime tablets available only for retail sale in Canada whereas the pre-order allotment has already been sold out. What remains confusing is the timing for delivery of the pre-order units. Android developers now have something powerful to work with in developing a plethora of new more powerful applications. Android continues to improve in leaps and bounds and this Prime tab is an example of that progress.
