Back at CES 2011, Asus really took the world by storm by unveiling a full lineup of new (and actually, quite exciting) tablets, and now, almost two months later, the first details regarding their pricing and availability have also started to pop up.

As some of you might remember, during our recent visit at MWC 2011 in Barcelona, Spain, we were fortunate enough to get to go hands-on with the new Asus tablets (well, at least a couple of them, namely the Eee Pad Slider, Transformer and MeMO), and found them to be quite noteworthy, tackling this particular market segment from a rather different angle.

And this alternate approach shouldn't come as a big surprise, especially since we are, after all, talking about the company that single-handedly created the netbook segment with their Eee PC series.

Anyway, back to the tablets, it seems that we actually won't have to wait that long before they manage to make their way onto the market, a recent report by Slashgear providing some very interesting information pertaining to their pricing and availability.

So, it would seem that the Eee Pad Transformer and Eee Pad Slider models should make it to the stores in UK around mid-April, running the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, while the company's Core i5-packing Eee Slate EP121 Windows 7 tablet will arrive around the same time.

Furthermore, while pricing for the Transformer and Slider Eee Pad models and the Eee Slate EP121 has not been revealed, it seems that the MeMO will start at around 500 Euro.

Unfortunately, given the fact that the MeMO is the entry-level model in the bunch, we'd dare to say that the rest of the tablets will actually be even more expensive, which, as far as we're concerned, is not exactly a very hot idea, given the rather stiff competition on this particular market segment.
