After a leak a few months ago, Ubisoft has now officially confirmed the existence of a Season Pass for its upcoming Assassin’s Creed 3 title, revealing that a special Assassin’s Creed 3 Gold Edition, which is set to be sold only digitally on the PlayStation Network, will include it.

Assassin’s Creed 3 is set to be a massive game and Ubisoft has practically confirmed in a letter to GameStop managers that it’s going to release lots of DLC for it, which will also be sold via a Season Pass, like many other games nowadays.

Now, as part of a presentation of the Assassin’s Creed 3 Gold Edition on the PS blog, Ubisoft has revealed that the special version includes not just the game but also a Season Pass.

The company has confirmed that the pass will be sold separately, but declined to reveal any other details, like its standalone price or what exactly it contains.

Expect to hear some more official info as we get closer to the game’s release at the end of the month on PS3 and Xbox 360, and in November for PC and Wii U.
