A report by MacNN points out that a series of high-level advertising jobs have opened at Apple since its acquisition of Quattro Wireless, earlier this year. This time around, Apple is looking to create a new framework for third-party advertising on cell phones, according to a new job listing, which states that Apple wants to "redefine the advertising on mobile devices."

The full-time job for Apple’s Boston offices is described as “an opportunity to redefine the advertising on mobile devices,” with Apple noting that, “It's an exciting environment and a fast-paced development organization. We're looking for an experienced interactive developer,” and addressing potential applicants.

Responsibilities are to include “the front end web UI development of compelling, interactive digital advertising experiences.” The Mac maker is looking for “individuals with a proven track record of developing high profile customer-facing projects under demanding timelines.” Those with experience in developing for the iPhone’s Safari and other applications, as well as those who know strong web technology fundamentals can consider themselves ideal candidates for the job.

Additional must-have knowledge includes code libraries and frameworks, new ways of creating a compelling user experience, thinking “the right” way to code something, elegantly and efficiently, and an ability “to listen, participate in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.”

“This is a hands-on position where the Senior Interactive Developer will be involved in client discussions, proof-of-concept coding, working with and adding to the existing framework, production deliverables and more,” Apple adds. A complete list of requirements is posted on the respective web page. Here’s what Apple needs, in terms of education and experience:

• At least 7+ years of professional web development experience; • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent; • Expert HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript with demonstrable skills using WebKit animation, transitions and transforms; • Self-starter, self-motivated, self-directed, self-sufficient; • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, at multiple levels of the organization; • Plusses: Development for iPhone browser/applications.
