OS X 10.5.7 still unable to run Safari 4 public beta

Only a week in between the latest 10.5.7 seeds, developers receiving Build 9J39 are asked to focus their testing efforts on almost two dozen areas of Leopard, including AirPort, Bluetooth, FileSync, Flash Player, iCal, Safari, Time Machine USB & Flash Devices, X11 and more. Adding five changes of its own, Build 9J39 is the third Mac OS X 10.5.7 beta release that lists only one known issue – incompatibility with the Safari 4 public beta.

The people at World of Apple have gotten hold of the seed notes for Mac OS X 10.5.7 Build 9J39, stressing that this build in particular fixes issues with Mail signatures, System Profiler having problems with DisplayPort adapters and several other impediments. The seed notes are available below.

Last week, AppleInsider reported that people familiar with the latest Mac OS X 10.5.7 test build (9J34) pointed out to updated speech support. While there were no specific details at the time, OS X 10.5.7 was said to pack enhancements to the speech dictionary, probably increasing emphasis on synthesis, according to the source. Without fail, Apple has updated Speech Dictionary, as revealed by the latest seed notes (issues fixed in previous seeds).

Other fixes and tweaks include: resolved issue where computer may wake after Sleep enabled; fixed Mail signature synching issue; fixed localization problem with Weather Widget; resolved color corruption issue; fixed problem with CFNetwork FileProtocol and WebArchive; resolved problem with AFP C Client and searches; issue with FSCatalogSearch loops and AFP X Client fixed; issue with HFS and Magneto-Optical Disk resolved.
