Anonymous released a video statement urging the citizens of Canada to use “all non-violent means possible” to protest against Prime Minister Stephen Harper, their old “enemy” Vic Toews, and other members of the parliament.

The hacktivists published a warning message addressed to the Canadian government a few days ago, but now they return with specific instructions for their supporters.

“Fellow Canadians, our own government is attempting to intimidate it's citizens into not engaging in legal forms of protest, by using their power to have them forced from their jobs and called before parliamentary committees. This is an absolute outrage, and Anonymous will not stand for it,” Anonymous says.

The hackers want to defend former member of the Liberal party Adam Carroll, the man suspected of being behind the Vikileaks Twitter account which was created to protest against Bill C-30, the controversial online monitoring bill, and the Public Safety Minister Vic Toews.

As part of Operation Vic.Tory, the hackers ask all their supporters to make phone calls, and send messages and emails to the prime minister and members of the parliament.
