You have to love that naive, big-eyed, zany hairstyles and overall erotic appearance. This is what anime is, after all: innocent looking chicks doing some really nasty jobs (and I'm not talking about hentai-like stuff). Of course, such characters will always be noticed and people will buy the games in which they star; the same thing happened with the Growlanser series, whose latest installment, Growlanser: Heritage of War has been announced for the UK. The game is going to be released on the 13th of June this year.

Even though a bit late with the European release, since the game was launched in the US in September 2007, Growlanser: Heritage of War promises to bring some great tactical RPG action you'll never forget. Still, don't expect a real next-gen game since it is only available for PS2.

The game takes us on an island continent shrouded in darkness and bounded by an evil, impassable veil, where war rages among desperate inhabitants fighting for survival, and the pieces of land that are not touched by war are still threatened by some bad Screapers, fierce and powerful monsters slowly encroaching the cities. It is up to the player and the sweet anime characters to fight and bring back peace.

Growlanser: Heritage of War features over 70 hours of gameplay spanning 5 lengthy chapters with some additional to unlock, a strategic party-based combat that comes with and advanced troop command system that allows to easily give orders to your allies and more. There is also an Ability Tree available which lets you change the character's abilities depending on different situations. Probably one of the most important parts is, however, the intimate relationship system that allows some sweet loving in the game too, as unlockable, hand drawn, character-specific ending animations that put the icing on the cake!

Growlanser: Heritage of War will be launched in the UK on the 13th of June, for PlayStation 2 consoles.
