Rovio's critically-acclaimed Angry Birds has already seen a rehash, which was launched during the Halloween, but the developer decided not to bring it to the Symbian platform. However, Angry Birds Seasons, the latest Winter-themed variant of the original game has just been announced for Symbian smartphones.

Launched at the beginning of the month for the Android and iOS platform, Angry Birds Seasons is now available for download from Nokia's Ovi Store.

Unlike the iOS version which can be downloaded for $0.99, Symbian users will have to pay $1.99 for the application, while Android fans can get this for free.

Angry Birds Seasons also includes the Halloween edition with its 40 new levels. The Halloween edition was initially available for iPhone users only, as the Android version was launched much later.

In addition to the Halloween edition, Angry Birds Seasons for Symbian includes 25 new levels that further challenge players who already finished the original game.

Unfortunately for some users, Angry Birds Seasons requires some sort of data connection, as levels are opening up daily and need to be downloaded.

This means that the last level of the game will be playable on December 25th. Furthemore, as soon as a new level is available and downloaded, the Internet data connection won't be needed anymore until a new level needs to be loaded.

Besides its 65 new levels, Angry Birds Seasons features leaderboards, achievements, as well as Facebook and Twitter integration.

Angry Birds Seasons for Symbian is only available for devices running on the Symbian^3 mobile platform such as the Nokia N8, C7 and C6-01.

As a side note, Angry Birds for iOS is the most downloaded AppStore application of all times in many countries such as: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, Germany, Russia, France, Netherlands, Greece, Austria, Australia, Romania and more.
