Those who own an HTC Dream (or T-Mobile G1) mobile phone and have accessed the Android Market a few times already are aware of the fact that there are some improvements that could still be made to the software portal. The rest of us also know this, given the fact that a T-Mobile representative already stated a while ago that the app store could use some enhancements to leverage the user experience.

And it seems that the Android Team is also aware of the issue, as they are somehow trying to bring improvements to the Android Market. Google's Dan Morrill is reported to have announced in an Android Discussion Group that the Team was looking to add some new features to the software portal.

In the near future, we should expect the Android Market to sport a separate category for themes, as well as more options that are to be added for sorting. According to the news, the Team is also considering the idea of coming up with a desktop/web version of the Android Market.

For the time being, the features might not be more than a few ideas the Android Team tossed at users, yet it is good to hear that they are interested in what the latter have to say about their products and services. Especially given the fact that the Android Market seems to be a rather great way to provide the community with applications.

Hopefully, the aforementioned improvements, and perhaps others more, will soon come to the Android Market, for they are needed. In case the Web version of the app store also becomes available, a lot of users will rejoice for sure, as they will have a simpler way of browsing around for the applications they need. We can hardly wait to hear more news from the Android Team regarding any enhancements that the application portal might come with in the future, so stay tuned for more details.
