Alltel Announces Mobile Content Deal with MTV Networks

Alltel Wireless announced it has signed an agreement with MTV Networks that will enable the mobile operator to offer its customers a wide range of programming from MTV Networks, including on-demand mobile video, WAP sites, games and personalization features.

Under the agreement, MTV Networks will provide Alltel's users with video from COMEDY CENTRAL, MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1, CMT, The N, Spike TV, MTV Tr3s, GameTrailers.com and IFILM. Additionally, Alltel
Wireless will offer mobile websites with content from COMEDY CENTRAL, MTV and VH1; as well as games and personalization features based on popular franchises, such as COMEDY CENTRAL's "South Park," MTV's "The Hills," and Nickelodeon's "SpongeBob SquarePants."

"No other entertainment company offers such a complete portfolio of video, programming, games, mobile websites and other features targeting nearly every conceivable demographic as MTV Networks," said Greg Clayman, Executive Vice President, Digital Distribution & Business Development, MTV Networks. "With Alltel, MTV Networks is gaining an excellent wireless carrier and access to a customer base that mirrors the diverse audiences of our brands."

The agreement between Alltel Wireless and MTV Networks will significantly contribute to the current offering of news, sports and entertainment programming and content available through Alltel's Axcess wireless data services; giving Alltel's customers the possibility to enjoy their favorite shows from MTV Networks, keep up to date with the latest news on the most popular artists and access comprehensive range of exclusive content on their mobile phones. Select programming and content from MTV Networks will be accessible via Alltel's Celltop platform.
