Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile has been long rumored to plan the launch of a large Android-based smartphone, namely the Xperia Z Ultra, and a series of screenshots allegedly coming from the device are now available for your viewing pleasure.

The device, spotted online before with the codename of Togari attached, is said to arrive on the market with a 6.4-inch touchscreen capable of a full HD resolution, and the aforementioned screenshots appear to confirm that.

One of these mentions a 6.21-inch display that can deliver a 1080p resolution, but, as XperiaBlog notes, this would not include the navigation bar, which would bring the screen up to 6.4 inches, as mentioned above.

Said images, which apparently come from a prototype device, also confirm that the upcoming mobile phone will arrive on the market with a Qualcomm MSM8974 (Snapdragon 800) processor packed inside, paired with Adreno 330 graphics.

Furthermore, the smartphone is shown as running under Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, featuring software build number 14.1.B.1.215.

The new leak also confirms that the Xperia Z Ultra (also mentioned before as Xperia ZU), will hit the market with 2GB of RAM packed inside, as well as with 16GB of internal memory, most probably paired with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

The screenshots, available courtesy of XDA-Developers, do not provide other details on the smartphone’s hardware specifications, though the flurry of previous leaks did that already.

Rumor has it that the smartphone will pack an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of recording videos in full HD resolution, and that there will also be a front camera to allow video calling while on the go.

In addition to the usual set of connectivity capabilities and sensors, Xperia Z Ultra is also said feature a body that measures 179.2 x 92 x 6.5mm and weighs 212 grams. The handset could be officially unveiled on June 25, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
