When Eva Longoria filed for divorce from Tony Parker, people immediately started asking what may have prompted such a drastic course of action. Reports said she had found hundreds of text messages from another woman, confirming to her he was having an affair – at the very least, an emotional one.

The woman in question was then identified by the media as Erin Barry, the wife of one of Parker’s mates, who, ironically, was also getting a divorce.

Eva partly confirmed the reports, having her best friend and Extra correspondent Mario Lopez tell the media that she was heartbroken over allegations of infidelity.

Now, “the other woman,” Erin is speaking out: and she’s not happy about how the media jumped to conclusions, thus dragging her name through the mud when she has so much more important things to take care of.

In a lengthy statement on her official website, cited by TMZ, Erin explains why she has kept silent for so long, saying she had absolutely no chance to catch up on the gossip, being such a busy woman and mother of 2.

However, now that she knows what’s being said about it, she wants to take the time to set the record straight: she did not have an affair with Tony Parker, did not go after him and would never do such a thing to a good friend like ruining his marriage.

“It has been brought to my attention that people who do not know me think that I have had an affair with Tony Parker. I have received hundreds of emails and phone calls from supportive friends who do know me and know that what is being insinuated about me is a complete lie,” Erin writes.

“I DID NOT HAVE AN AFFAIR WITH TONY PARKER, nor did I ‘pursue’ Tony Parker. Unfortunately, because our divorces are occurring at the same time, great speculation has been cast on our friendship,” she continues.

“My friendship with Tony Parker had nothing to do with the end of my marriage (which is painful enough without this added drama), and to assume that we had an affair is naïve, ridiculous, and completely misguided,” Erin adds.
