Lindsay Lohan’s younger sister, Ali (Aliana) Lohan, signed with a modeling agency in August 2011, and today she’s as determined as ever to make a name for herself as a model. She wants fame but she doesn’t want it by association, she says in a new interview.

Shortly after her sister, actress Lindsay Lohan, checked herself into the Betty Ford Clinic for a 90-day, court-ordered lockdown rehab stint, Ali says she wants people to know her as a model first and foremost, Us Weekly reports.

She wants fame and she wants to use it to do some good in the world, Ali insists.

“I want to make the most out of the word ‘fame.’ I want to do good things with my fame, or whatever it is,” she says.

“I want to help and do charity work… I would just like to be known as my own person. I don't need to ride on any coattails. I definitely have to prove myself – just showing up on time and doing everything that you're supposed to do,” Ali explains.

However, she agrees to talk a bit about Lindsay in the same interview. Ali swears Lindsay is the best person ever and the coolest sister around, partly echoing the star’s recent Piers Morgan interview in which she claimed the media and bloggers kept spreading lies about her because she wasn’t a bad girl.

“We're close, we love each other and we have arguments like any other family. At the end of the day, I only trust my family. I feel that so many things have happened, but at the end of the day, they're always going to be there for you,” Ali says.

“We always have good sister-bonding time. Whenever we see each other, we're always talking about clothes and all girly things, you know? She just says the main thing is to do your best and to do what you love. We're very close and speak very often,” she adds.
