Remedy Entertainment, the developer of the popular Alan Wake game, has confirmed that the next installment in the series, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, will take around 4-5 hours to complete.

Alan Wake became quite popular on the Xbox 360 console and is now getting ready to make its debut this year on the PC.

Besides the port, Remedy Entertainment is also working on the all-new Alan Wake’s American Nightmare downloadable game, which is set to appear on the Xbox Live Arcade during Microsoft’s House Party promotion.

Speaking about the new title, Remedy’s Head of Franchise Development, Oskari Hakkinen told GameTrailers that the regular story mode would take around 4-5 hours to complete, depending on how much the optional content was explored.

Besides the story, however, American Nightmare also has a special Fight ‘til Dawn cooperative mode, in which players work together to battle against shadow monsters, so expect to spend quite a lot more time with the game once it’s released.

The Xbox Live House Party, which includes Alan Wake’s American Nightmare as well as other games, is set to start on February 15.
