Adam Lambert teases about debut album saying it will be “full of surprises”

Adam Lambert’s debut album (the 2005 material where he only lent his vocals for someone else’s music does not really count, as per the singer himself) will be released in November this year. With yet a good while to go, fans are growing impatient for more details, which is why Rolling Stone went ahead and asked him directly the very things that were on their minds as well.

However, as enthusiastic as he is about finally getting his shot at making a name for himself in the music industry, Adam is also extremely cheap when it comes to details. He can promise fans though, like he has done on previous occasions, that he will do his best (that he is, actually) to make this album something entirely different than what other artists put out, a material that will be “full of surprises,” fun but, at the same time, very sensual.

Adam had about a month to work on the debut material before starting the American Idol tour and he now spends his time divided between the stage and the studio. “We did a surprising amount of work before the tour started, we had about a month. I got a lot of co-writing done, some great initial vocal material recorded, and just general collaborations with different producers.” the singer reveals for Rolling Stone. These producers include OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder (who worked with Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce), RedOne (who did most of Lady Gaga’s hits), Linda Perry, Greg Wells and Sam Sparro, the aforementioned publication informs.

Rolling Stone also gets the singer to open up about his growth as an artist, mostly with the help of the AI tour. Getting up on stage and interacting with fans is one of the most amazing experiences anyone can live, Adam says for the mag, and he’s only so lucky to have lived it so early. Having such close contact with the fans also helped him become a better performer – not that he was lacking in this field, fans will agree – because, in the end, all that he does and plans to do has only one purpose: to entertain people.

“Just clap and scream and have a good time. It’s not about you guys getting my attention, it’s about you living your life in a positive way. When you dance and move around it creates a different reaction from the audience – they love it. And getting a sense of interaction with them, I love that. It’s like a trial run, a test audience for things to come. I would love to do a live show with dancers and fashion and scenic elements – definitely bring my love of the theater to a concert-style performance.” Adam Lambert concludes by saying.
