Beside the new projector we've already talked about earlier, Acer decided to also present to the world a brand new line of hybrid display solutions, namely the new MT monitor TV series.

As the name suggests, what we're talking about here is a new family of multi-purpose products that work very well as TV sets, but can also be easily connected to a computer, making them ideal for users who have very little room around the office and can't really purchase two different display devices.

The new MT series products are available in 20-inch (51 cm) and 23-inch (58 cm) diagonal sizes, which makes them well suitable for placement just about anywhere around the house, especially since they also have an attractive external design, most certainly suitable for just about any home décor.

The display solutions from Acer offer HD+ and Full HD resolutions, a 16:9 aspect ratio, some pretty impressive contrast ratios (up to 12,000,000:1 DCR), plus 24p frame rate and several image enhancement technologies, including Gamma Correction, Progressive Scan, 3D Comb Filtering or Noise Reduction.

Given the fact that they offers fast and easy TV reception, it was to be expected from the MT series monitors to also pack DVB-T HD, DVB-C and CI+ support, but they new display solutions also offer an interesting USB recording option, meaning that users will be able to record their favorite programs directly to USB storage devices.

Beside the USB interface (that, by the way, can also be used for direct multimedia playback), the new MT series devices also come equipped with plenty of connectivity solutions, including here VGA, Component, SCART, S-Video and two HDMI ports.

Unfortunately, Acer's not yet provided any pricing details for their MT series multi-purpose TV monitors, but we'll try to come back to this topic as soon as these important bits of information become available.
