Mobile phone carrier AT&T is one of the wireless services providers in the United Sates who announced plans to bring to the market in the country the high-end Galaxy S II smartphone from Samsung Electronics, and the company has already put the device on a coming soon page on its website.

The handset should arrive on shelves in a matter of days, and it was only natural for the wireless operator to start preparing for the launch, that's for sure.

Users in the United States who would like to purchase the new smartphone from AT&T should head over to the wireless carrier's website here to register for receiving updates on its availability.

“Stay Connected! Be the first to know. Sign up for email updates about the Samsung Galaxy S II,” the wireless carrier notes on the said webpage.

For the time being, AT&T did not make pre-orders available for its customers interested in the purchase of Galaxy S II, yet users can leave their email address there for receiving updates on the launch.

Galaxy S II is set to arrive in the United Sates on the airwaves of three wireless carriers, including AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.

The phone will land unchanged at AT&T, while the other two wireless carriers will launch flavors with slightly upgraded specifications, Samsung announced a few weeks ago.

At AT&T, the Samsung Galaxy S II will arrive with support for the carrier's HSPA+ network, while packing a 1650 mAh battery inside.

The 1.2 GHz dual-core application processor that was packed inside the original device will also be there, the same as the 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, and the 8-megapixel photo snapper that can record videos in full HD.

Furthermore, the new mobile phone also sports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options, as well as built-in GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors.

The Samsung Galaxy S II runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with the TouchWiz 3.0 UI loaded on top of it, and with support for various applications and services.
