Wireless carrier AT&T announced last week that it planned to launch on its airwaves a number of three new mobile phones, and they are finally here for the company's customers to enjoy their capabilities. The three devices are the Nokia Surge, a social networking-centric device, the Sony Ericsson C905a Cyber-shot and the W518a Walkman.

What Nokia Surge has to offer to the carrier's users is a QWERTY keyboard, a great focus on multimedia, messaging and social networking features, a QVGA landscape display, Symbian Series 60 OS, a 2.0-megapixel photo snapper, Bluetooth connectivity, web browser with Flash support, quad-band GSM/EDGE, dual-band HSDPA, as well as microSDHC memory card slot for additional storage space. The Sony Ericsson C905a Cyber-shot is the first mobile phone including an 8-megapixel photo snapper to become available with AT&T. The camera comes with auto focus, Xenon flash and face detection, while the device sports a QVGA display, Bluetooth capabilities, GPS support, FM radio with RDS, media player, speakerphone, quad-band GSM/EDGE and tri-band HSDPA connectivity, as well as MemoryStick M2 memory card slot.

Sony Ericsson’s W518a is yet another Walkman device that features attractive capabilities, such as a QVGA internal display, a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper with video recording, speakerphone, accelerometer, gesture and shake control capabilities, microSDHC expansion slot and, the same as Nokia Surge, support for the entire series of AT&T services.

The new Nokia device can be purchased from the carrier for $79.99 with a 2-year agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate, and has been priced at $279.99 without a contract. The C905a goes for $179.99 on a contract with $50 mail-in rebate ($379.99 outright), while the W518a's price tag has been set at $49.99 with a 2-year deal and after a $50 mail-in rebate ($199.99 with no contract).
