Mobile phone carrier AT&T announced recently the availability of a new promotion for its users during the holiday season. Starting with today, December 4, AT&T customers will be able to enjoy a series of BlackBerry smartphones from the company at half the usual price tag, and they will also have the opportunity to get the Samsung Solstice for free after a mail-in rebate. At the same time, the wireless operator further revealed that the new offer will be put in place both in all of its retail locations, as well as on its website.

BlackBerry smartphones, a leading choice for consumers and mobile professionals alike are ideal for anyone that wants to keep in touch with friends, family and coworkers. Customers may choose from the following BlackBerry smartphones in the AT&T portfolio: BlackBerry Bold 9700, BlackBerry Bold 9000, BlackBerry Curve 8900, BlackBerry Curve 8520, BlackBerry Curve 8320, BlackBerry Curve 8310,” the carrier announced.

AT&T also notes that it was the first mobile phone carrier in the US to deliver BlackBerry services for its users, and that it currently offers a great selection of handsets from the Canadian phone maker Research In Motion. This would also be a reason for which its users can now enjoy the new BlackBerry 9700 smartphone for half the usual price after signing for a two-year contract agreement and after a mail-in rebate.

When it comes to the Samsung Solstice, the carrier says it is free after a mail-in rebate, which will be received in the form of an AT&T Promotion Card. However, those interested in the phone should also learn that the offer is available upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the purchase of a $20 data or messaging package.

However, the specs of the handset are set to appeal to anyone. The Solstice comes with a 3.0-inch touchscreen display, with a virtual QWERTY keyboard, Samsung’s unique TouchWiz user interface, fast access to applications of social networking sites via widgets for Facebook, MySpace and Yahoo! OneSearch, not to mention support for the carrier's services, including AT&T Navigator and AT&T Mobile Music with Napster Mobile and eMusicTM Mobile.
