Though concern for affordability has always been high, there have been many occasions when a hardware maker of PC supplier completely disregarded overall pricing in order to enable the highest possible level of performance. ASUS, of course, pulled off such a feat on multiple occasions, spawning electronics the likes of the G73JH notebook, with support for DirectX 11. Now that Computex is just about to start, the PC manufacturer is eager to make an impression with this notebook's successors.

ASUS has prepared the G51 3D, the G53 and the G73 mobile PCs. All bearing the ROG (Republic of Gamers) logo, they are “the ultimate extreme performance portable gaming choice.” All combine powerful processors with advanced memory and graphics, as well as a certain affinity for 3D video output.

The G53 measures 15.6 inches and is essentially a refined version of the G73Jh. It is the 'world's first' gaming notebook with an NVIDIA 3D Vision-enabled next-generation GPU and even boasts support for the HDMI 1.4 revision and, of course, 3D. It also employs the G73Jh's stealth bomber design, as well as an illuminated keyboard and aggressive cooling.

The G73Jw has a screen size of 17.3 inches and is the first to include the new NVIDIA mobile GPU. The laptop's display has full support for 1080p 3D. ASUS considers this machine one of the most powerful gaming beasts on the market.

The official announcement that the company issued gave no details on the G51 3D, saying only that, along with the G73Jw, it sets a new standard for home and on the go 3D entertainment. There is, likewise, no knowing when and where either of these three newcomers will start selling. They will, however, come with suitably merciless price points, which means that hopefuls may wish to start saving up.
