AOC, the well-known manufacturer of monitors, has just announced the immediate availability of two new affordable tablets in India.

Breeze 7-inch and 9.7-inch will be available for purchase in India starting late April for only Rs 7,990 ($145/€110) and Rs 12,990 ($240/€185), respectively.

Both tablets are powered by Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and pack 1.5 GHz single-core processors.

According to fonearena, the cheaper of the two is only 8.8mm thick and weighs 330g (battery included), while the Breeze 9.7-inch is even thinner at 8mm, but weighs a lot more (670g, battery included).

As their names suggest, the display measures 7-inch and 9.7-inch, respectively, but there are no details on the exact resolution of each screen.

The 1.5GHz single-core processor is complemented by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

The AOC Breeze tablets do not offer voice calling and lack 3G connectivity, but users will be able to take advantage of blazing fast data speeds by attaching a 3G dongle via USB.

It is also worth mentioning that Breeze 9.7-inch features a microHDMI port that will allow users to connect it to various external devices with larger screens such as TVs, monitors and projectors.

Last but not least, both tablets come packed with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as microUSB.

Unfortunately, AOC did not reveal the type of battery inside any of the two slates, so we will have to wait until later this month for more details on Breeze 7 and 9.7-inch standby and talk time.

Given the fact that tablets are not yet available on the market, we expect more details on their specs to emerge the moment they hit shelves, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
