The review department of Softpedia Games has been extra busy this week as some of the biggest titles of March were launched and evaluated: Dark Souls 2, the new title from developer From Sofware and publisher Namco Bandai defined by its difficulty level, Titanfall, the first-person shooter created by Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts, Dragons and Titans and Chuck's Challenge 3D.

We also have two Gamer Diaries this week, one focused on my adventures in the world of South Park: The Stick of Truth and another wondering about the long-term appeal of Dark Souls 2.

The editorials of the week talk about the way the PlayStation Now service for the PlayStation 4 needs to be complemented by emulation and the current problems of the Xbox One.

My Weekend Reading feature focuses on the impact that major sales on Steam and other digital distribution services have on the long-term appeal of indie titles.

We also have an exclusive interview about Runemaster, the role-playing and strategy mix from Paradox Development Studio.

Our EndWeekGame piece talks about how we plan to spend our free time and we have a selection of the most important news that appeared during the previous seven-day period.

On Monday, a fan-made tool for Dark Souls 2 allowed gamers to see the total number of deaths they suffered and an analyst talked about a potential Kinect less Xbox One package that would arrive in 2015.

At the same time, Matt Stone said that the censorship applied to The Stick of Truth felt like a double standard.

On Tuesday, a video guide was delivered for Dark Souls 2 which includes tips for survival, while CD Projekt announced that it was delaying The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt until February of next year.

A major patch was also launched for the Xbox One version of Battlefield 4 by the team at DICE.

On Wednesday, a new Thief competition was announced by Square Enix and Titanfall on the PC was affected by a major error for several hours.

At the same time, the Xbox One had to deal with some sign-in issues that Microsoft solved rather quickly.

On Thursday, a comparison was made between the Xbox One and the PC version of Titanfall, cheaters for the game were exposed and a mod that opened up the censored parts of South Park: The Stick of Truth was launched.

On Friday, a Titanfall clothing line was launched, the frame rate for the game on the Xbox 360 was revealed and a Hannibal at the Gates campaign was announced for Total War: Rome II, coming on March 27.

On Saturday, 10 more jobs verified by Rockstar were delivered to GTA V Online and Diablo 3 was affected by high latency problems.
