The big launch month of March is now behind us, which means that we had time to look a little closer at games like Crysis 2, the shooter from Crytek, for which we have a full Softpedia review and a set of Gamer Diaries, and Shogun 2: Total War, which also has some new Diaries.

We also have both an early Quick Look and a full Softpedia review for Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed.

And for avid readers we also delivered an EndWeekGame article which talks about our free time, a Weekend Reading piece that looks at the continued success of Dragon Age: Legends and at the possibilities it is opening up for Facebook-based gaming.   We also have a Weekend Reading feature about the length of our gaming experiences.

And, normally, we have a selection of the news that peaked our interest in the week that was.

On Monday, the developers of the first Black Ops talked about the possibility of delivering a straight up sequel for their blockbuster first-person shooter while the Internet-based activist group Anonymous talked about launching attacks on Sony for their legal action against PS3 hackers.

On Tuesday, the leader of developer Gearbox has talked about not being interested in living in a world where the character of Duke Nukem would not exist while the people at Epic spoke about creating the Unreal Engine 4 with the Xbox 720 and the PlayStation 4 in mind.

On Wednesday, EA Play announced that The Sims 3 would be getting another expansion, called Generations, which focuses on memory and youth, while Activision leaked information in Escalation, the new downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops, which will probably be out in late May.

On Thursday, the CEO of publisher Electronic Arts mentioned that no less than 3 billion gamers will be playing on some form of device in 3 or 4 years just as a number of specialists talked about the problems that might be caused by the newly launched Nintendo 3DS.

On Friday, the first story information for Mass Effect 3 was released while Electronic Arts wants to expand in the social space.
