Samsung has managed to score some impressive results with their latest mobile phones. The company has received 3 Guiness records, adding up to another one already existing, summing up four such statements of its innovations.

Another success for Samsung, the company has also received 11 iF Design Awards, including two gold prizes, which makes it one of the most stylish handset brands to own. Its Ultra Edition series has managed to win three Guiness World Records, with the most important one of world's slimmest phone, granted for the SFH-U100 handset, which comes at only 5.9 mm in thickness.

Another Guiness record that has been received also regards the SCH-B600 phone model, with 10 megapixel camera, which makes it the only such device capable of packing such evolved performances. SGH-Z370 is the last one of these devices and has the record feature of being the slimmest 3G-enabled phone, at only 8.9 mm.

"Super-slim design and high-resolution cameras are both the mobile industry's big trends", said Samsung in a press release. "In this context, the acceptance of Samsung handsets to the Guinness Book represents our technology leadership in the global mobile market".

At the same time, Samsung has received 11 iF Design Awards, stating the high design quality that this company is capable of providing. On this occasion, the company has also presented its Croix phone concept, one device with features highly similar to the iPhone's. This comes as proof of their effort to bring new devices out on the market at top performances to continue the previous success.

Samsung has just been given credit for the innovative solutions that it is capable of bringing in the telecom sector. Aside from these 3 new Guiness Records, the company has also received one back in 2001, for its TV phone. As a result of these new awards, a life-sized photo of the Ultra Edition 5.9 will be featured in the 2008 edition of the Guinness Book.
