New developments have emerged in the case of the Virginia shooting in which two women have been injured on Friday.

18-year-old Neil Macinnis, a student at the community college in Christiansburg, Virginia has been apprehended after wounding the women at the New River Valley Mall. The incident took place in a section which was being used by the community college.

As I have also reported, the gunman announced his intentions to go on a shooting spree on 4chan, just before the attack.

He has been arrested and charged with two counts of malicious wounding and using a firearm when committing a crime.

WDBJ7 details that Macinnis took courses at the Christiansburg Citizen Police Academy in 2012. In his 4chan message, he mentions coming in contact with guns at a police station.

“Today has been a very tough day. [...] Today has been a very tough day for law enforcement officers involved. It’s been a very tough day for the victims and their families. It’s been a very tough day for the suspect’s families,” Police Chief Mark Sisson describes.
