As we reported earlier, HTC's first Android tablet, the Flyer is about to make its debut in Canada via Bell

Although the carrier has yet to confirm the tablet's release date and pricing options in the next few days, we have new information regarding the tablet's launch.

It appears that the tablet made its way into the pages of the latest flyer from Bell’s retail chain “The Source,” which confirms that the HTC Flyer is about to be launch sometime this month.

Furthermore, it appears that the tablet showing inside the pages of the flyer is the 16GB Wi-Fi version that is priced at $499.99, which confirms the previous rumors.

There's a high chance that the HTC Flyer will also be released by Virgin Mobile, though no details have emerged yet.

Furthermore, it will be interesting to find if the Taiwanese handset manufacturer will launch the 3G version of the Flyer along with the Wi-Fi version.

The Wi-Fi HTC Flyer recently showed up at Bell/Virgin stock listings, which points to a possible double launch of the tablet.

The Flyer is the first Android tablet manufactured by HTC, which plans to release more tablets in the near future.

The tablet is still powered by Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, but HTC plans to deploy the Honeycomb upgrade in the coming weeks.

Furthermore, HTC Flyer comes with a small 7-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen that supports 16 million colors and 600 x 1024 pixels resolution, as well as accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, handwriting support and two sets of touch-sensitive controls for landscape and portrait use.

It measures 195.4 x 122 x 13.2 mm and weighs only 420g (battery included), which makes it one of the lightest tablets available on the market.

Moreover, HTC Flyer is equipped with a fast single core processor clocked at 1.5Ghz speed and packs 16GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
