How many consoles can you buy for US$ 65 million?

Apparently, getting a PS3 or a Wii is getting tougher and tougher, even for celebrities. I'm not talking about the likes of Britney Spears or Paris Hilton, I bet they won't have any trouble in getting one, but about NBA player Gilbert Arenas.

He considers himself to be quite a gamer and even sponsors a Halo team. That's nice of him, but still, he doesn't have a PS3. N'gai Croal of Newsweek points out what Arenas wrote on his blog that he is very depressed about not having a PS3 or a Wii. He admits that he didn't make any efforts as to get a Sony or a Nintendo next-gen, but he now repents saying that he should have used his celebrity status.

If you were to ask me, Mr. Arenas should not receive any special treatment just because he can shoot hoops. He should turn to eBay, I mean he has the financial power to do so earning some US$ 65 million per contract. His US$ 65 million contracts last six years and expires in 2009, and makes us wonder: how many PS3s or Wiis can one buy for US$ 65 million?

After telling you this, I'd like to see someone pity this "poor" NBA player.
