Get ready for action, revenge, shirtless screaming

Two brand new official posters for the upcoming (and long delayed) “The Wolverine” have been released. Earlier today, we also informed you of a 6-second Vine teaser that debuted on Twitter.

Check out the new artwork in the gallery below.

I must say, the second one, the one with the ninjas, looks pretty amateurish but perhaps this is just a momentary slip on part of the marketing team.

Either way, both confirm that Hugh Jackman is really good at screaming and looking dazzling without a shirt, while also promising an action-packed sequel.

“Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed,” a synopsis of the film reads.

“Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before,” it adds.

“The Wolverine” arrives in theaters this July.
