Google announced today that it is launching its recently unveiled YouTube Music and YouTube Premium music streaming services in 17 new countries, including the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Unveiled last month on May 17, 2018, the YouTube Music and YouTube Premium streaming services promise to rival popular music streaming services like Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music by offering users access to official songs, albums, covers, music videos, live performances, artist radio, and YouTube’s huge catalog of remixes.

As of today, Google is rolling out its YouTube Music streaming service to everyone in the United States, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, and launches it in 12 new countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Austria, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Germany, and Russia.

"Now fans around the world can find more of the music they love and effortlessly discover new favorites," said Google. "YouTube Music is a new music streaming service built on top of all the music on YouTube that you can’t find anywhere else - personalized and all simply organized in one new app and web player."

YouTube Premium launches today to replace YouTube Red

Besides launching YouTube Music today, Google also made its YouTube Premium streaming service available in all 17 countries mentioned above as a drop-in replacement for YouTube Red. Existing YouTube Red and Google Play Music members will be offered all the benefits of YouTube Music Premium, as well as ad-free YouTube playback with support for downloads.

Furthermore, YouTube Music Premium will give subscribers access to the entire collection of YouTube Originals TV shows and movies, including titles like The Sidemen Show, Cobra Kai, Impulse, and F2 Finding Football. YouTube Premium is currently on a limited-time offer of three free months if you subscribe here. After that, you must pay $11.99 per month or $17.99 per month for a Family Plan.

YouTube Music and YouTube Premium are available as mobile apps for both Google's Android and Apple's iOS mobile platforms. Users will have to download the respective apps from either Google Play store or App Store on their smartphones or tablets if they want to enjoy the new music streaming services from Google.
