Xiaomi is expected to take the wraps off the anticipated Xiaomi 12 as soon as the next week, and while the excitement is reaching record levels, the company just wants to make sure that it keeps the frenzy going until the launch happens.

This is why the Chinese tech firm has recently published new teasers on Twitter specifically to highlight the improvements the Xiaomi 12 comes with, including in terms of design.

More specifically, Xiaomi shows that the Xiaomi 12, whose display is actually smaller from 6.81-inch on the Mi 11 to just 6.28 inches this time, will be thinner than the iPhone 13.

Furthermore, Xiaomi explains the Xiaomi 12 will have a width of just 69.9mm, whereas the iPhone 13 measures 71.5mm.

In other words, the Chinese company has managed to create a smartphone with a larger display than the iPhone 13 but with a small width, and this suggests the bezels will be virtually impossible to notice.

Apple won’t just sit and watch Xiaomi having fun

Both the Xiaomi 12 and the Xiaomi 12 Pro will most likely come with 120Hz refresh rate displays and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

In the meantime, Apple is also planning some pretty big changes on the iPhone. The iPhone 14 lineup, which is projected to see the daylight in September next year, will give up on the notch for the Pro models, as Apple will finally introduce a punch-hole display.

The notch will continue to be available on the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Max, as Apple will only offer punch-hole screens, obviously more expensive, only on the premium models. In theory, this will substantially increase the available screen estate, while also allowing for further feature upgrades due in the coming years, including the return of Touch ID, this time integrated into the screen.
