14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has recently announced that Windows 10 version 21H1 is now available for more devices out there, as the rollout of this latest operating system update is progressing really well.
Windows 10 version 21H1 originally debuted as only for seekers who manually checked for updates on a device running Windows 10 version 2004 or 20H2.
But Microsoft says that it’s making the feature update available for more devices, especially because it wants to deliver the new OS version to devices that would soon reach the end of support and therefore would no longer be eligible for security updates.
“We are now starting a new phase in our rollout. Using the machine learning training we have done so far, we are increasing the number of devices selected to update automatically to Windows 10, version 21H1 that are approaching end of servicing. We will continue to train our machine learning through all phases to deliver a smooth update experience,” the company explains.
Windows 11 coming
While Microsoft rolling out Windows 10 version 21H1 to more users out there is big news, everybody is now waiting for the Redmond-based software giant to take the wraps off Windows 11, its next major release on the operating system front.
Microsoft was originally to reveal a major Windows 10 feature update that would go live in the fall of this year as per the typical release schedule, but instead, the software giant now wants to introduce a full new OS version called Windows 11.
More specifics would be shared later this week at a dedicated event, while Windows 11 should then make its way to insiders in the testing program shortly after the show.
If the same release calendar is used, then Windows 11 should see the daylight in the fall of the year for the first wave of devices.
