New build now available for Fast ring insiders

Microsoft is working around the clock to finalize the upcoming Windows 10 version 1903, and today the company released another build to Fast ring insiders.

Since we’re already in March, the month when Microsoft is projected to finalize the development of this OS feature update, Windows 10 build 18348 doesn’t bring too many changes, as the company is more focused on refining the performance and ironing out the latest bugs.

However, build 18348 comes with Emoji 12, the latest set of emoji that was finalized by Unicode in February and which was released by Microsoft in the 20H1 build earlier this week as well.

You can check out the new emoji by pressing Windows key + period or Windows key + semicolon in this latest build of Windows 10.

No new features

Other than that, the build is all about general changes and improvements, with no new features obviously included in this release. Nevertheless, there’s one big update that concerns Settings, as Microsoft has removed the new header for half of the users to collect more data on this update.

“We’re rolling back the new Settings header from 100% to 50% of Insiders on Home and non-domain joined Pro edition PCs. This is so we can have a side by side comparison to help evaluate quality in both on and off state. We’ll let you know when the rollout increases again,” Dona Sarkar, chief of the Windows Insider program, said in the official release notes.

There are obviously several known issues in this build, and one of them concerns the anti-cheat software bug that could cause some devices to hit a fatal crash. Microsoft previously said it was working with a third party on resolving the problem, but an ETA isn’t available just yet.
