Microsoft has released a new Windows 10 preview build to users enrolled in the Fast ring, as the company’s getting closer to the March target when version 1903 will reach the RTM stage.

Windows 10 build 18334 doesn’t bring too many new features, but it includes gaming improvements, which Microsoft wants to test by allowing users to play State of Decay for free.

The company explains that by bringing technology tailor-mode for gaming to Windows 10 it hopes to improve the gaming experience in the upcoming OS update, so insiders are required to download the game and then try it out in order for Microsoft to receive feedback on how everything runs.

Needless to say, there are only limited seats and State of Decay is offered free of charge for a limited time.

There are several issues with these gaming improvements, and you can check them out in full in the box after the jump.

Additionally, Microsoft has included other refinements and improvements, and build 18334 comes with a list of known issues as well, and they are all included at the end of the article.

One particular bug concerns Windows Security, which according to the official changelog, may display an unknown status for the virus and threat protection module. The software giant says this can occur after upgrade, restart, or settings changes.

Windows 10 version 1903 is projected to be finalized next month, so Microsoft still has a few more weeks to refine the experience with this operating system update. As per the company’s typical release cycle, the public rollout should kick off in April, with the rollout to take place in stages to devices across the world.

Once the RTM is signed off, Windows insiders in the Fast ring will be the first ones to try out the stable build.
