Android has become Windows 10’s best friend, and to be honest, this isn’t necessarily a surprise as even Microsoft itself is now selling a phone running Google’s mobile operating system.

The Surface Duo is one of the most advanced Android devices currently on the market, and what’s more, Microsoft is fully committed to further improve it in the long term as well. A new Surface Duo is just around the corner, and it could see the daylight in the fall of the year.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is also trying to improve the Android experience for the rest of the users as well. So as I said earlier, Windows 10 has long been the best buddy for Android, with the Your Phone app allowing users to get notifications, access the mobile photo gallery, or even mirror the screen right on their desktops.

And this week, Microsoft introduced yet another feature that Android users are going to love on their Windows 10 devices.

Clipboard synchronization

It’s cross-device clipboard sync, which essentially means that your content can roam across devices as long as you’re logged in with the same account.

In other words, if you copy something on Android with the latest beta version of SwiftKey, you can then paste it right on Windows 10. And the whole thing works the other way around too, meaning that you can copy something on Windows and paste it on Android.

“This feature is currently available for SwiftKey Beta with 7.8.5 and above only. The days of emailing yourself website links, phone numbers and addresses are a thing of the past. You can now use Microsoft SwiftKey’s Cloud Clipboard feature to sync your copied text across all your devices.  Cloud Clipboard is currently only available for Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard on Android. It also requires a PC running Windows 10,” Microsoft explains.
