Microsoft has already confirmed the final build

Microsoft is expected to begin rolling out the next feature update for Windows 10 on the next Patch Tuesday, according to new information that made the rounds today.

Microsoft watcher Zac Bowden revealed on Twitter that Windows 10 version 1909, also referred to as 19H2 in the Windows Insider program and November 2019 Update, is projected to go live on November 12.

The rollout will probably take place in stages, so not everyone might be getting the new feature update on the same day.

While the November 12 launch is just a rumor for now, it makes sense for two reasons.

Final build ready

First of all, November 12 is the next Patch Tuesday cycle when Microsoft ships new updates to Windows 10 devices across the world, and this is just the right timing to ship a new feature update to the first wave of devices as well.

And then, Windows 10 November 2019 Update will land as a cumulative update, and aligning its release with a Patch Tuesday could ensure a smoother upgrade for the majority of users. A more seamless upgrade is what Microsoft has been aiming for from the very beginning with Windows 10 19H2, and this new update model could allow the feature update to be installed on the same restart with the rest of the patches typically released on Patch Tuesday.

Microsoft has recently confirmed that build 18363.418 is the final build for Windows 10 November 2019 Update, and Windows insiders in the Release Preview ring are already running it.

“We are now getting the Windows 10 November 2019 Update (19H2) ready for release. We believe that Build 18363.418 is the final build and we will continue to improve the overall experience of 19H2 on customers’ PCs as part of our normal servicing cadence. Build 18363.418 includes all of the latest 19H2 features as well as the latest fixes included as part of KB4517389. Windows Insiders in the Release Preview ring already have this build, so no action is needed from them to get this build,” Microsoft recently said.

The company hasn’t yet announced the release date of Windows 10 November 2019 Update, so some skepticism is still recommended for this report.
