Samsung pushes back orders due to high demand

While everybody seems to be talking about the new iPhones these days, long-time Apple rival Samsung is a little bit busy dealing with a high volume of orders for its brand-new Galaxy Note 9.

As a direct rival to the iPhone XS Max, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 comes with the best in terms of hardware and software from the South Korean firm.

It was released in August with much fanfare, and by the looks of things, despite pre-ordering their devices in the first days of availability, some customers haven’t yet received their phones.

And the reason is as simple as it could be: Samsung can’t align production with demand, as the Note 9 is more successful than even the company expected.

Everyone wants the 512GB version

The 512GB model, in particular, is the one that’s selling incredibly well, and in a message sent to a customer and obtained by PiunikaWeb, Samsung confirms that some shipments have been pushed back to late September.

“We know you’re excited to get your new Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Unfortunately, we’re experiencing higher than expected demand due to which there is a delay in shipping out your order,” the email reads.

“We are working hard to get your order shipped soon, so expect it will ship by September 29.”

For what it’s worth, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is actually more affordable than the recently-announced iPhone XS Max, despite coming with features that aren’t available in the Apple product lineup, like support for a pen, a fingerprint sensor, and a headphone jack.

The 512GB version of the Note 9 can be purchased in the United States for $1249.99, while the top-of-the-range iPhone XS Max with 512GB storage is available for $1,449. This means the Note 9 costs $200 less, though, by the looks of things, you may have to wait a little bit more than expected to get your hands on this model.

The 128GB Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is available with next-day shipping for just $999.99 in the United States.
