After releasing Call of Cthulhu horror adventure game back in 2018, French developer Cyanide was acquired by another French company, Bigben Interactive. However, even before Call of Cthulhu was released, Cyanide confirmed it was working on another game based on the classic Werewolf: The Apocalypse tabletop RPG.

The game was revealed last year at E3 and was supposed to be published by Focus Home Interactive, but since Cyanide was bought by Bigben Interactive, now known as Nacon, the developer had to switch publishers.

Anyway, it looks like earlier this week Nacon had its own gaming event where it showcased some its upcoming lineup of games. Among them, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood got its own spot on the show in the form of a 1-minute gameplay trailer.

From what we've been able to see in the trailer, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is a third-person action RPG. The game primarily focuses on combat and we're shown glimpses of that in the short gameplay trailer.

The premise of the game is quite unique in the fact that the story follows an eco-terrorist werewolf who has been banished from his tribe and is now looking for the roots of the pollution that nearly destroyed the world.

Players are required to manage and master three hero forms: human, wolf, and werewolf. Each of these forms has its benefits: the wolf can sneak around undetected, the human can interact with other people, and the werewolf can unleash its inhuman rage to combat enemies.

Along with the gameplay trailer shown at Nacon Connect, Cyanide confirmed that the game will be released on next-generation consoles as well. Speaking of release, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is scheduled to launch on February 4, 2021, for PC (via Epic Games Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
