Guild Software announced this past weekend the immediate availability of yet another double update for its awesome Vendetta Online 3D space combat MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) title.

The Vendetta Online 1.8.369-370 update is now live for all existing players and adds, as expected, a significant number of new features, among which we can mention more improvements to the pre-release Oculus Rift VR implementation, such as a VR space-station hangar and VR ship-cockpit, and Voice Chat support for Mac OS X users.

Additionally, the Voice Chat quality has been improved for all platforms, and it should be a lot better for users with slow Internet connections, thanks to the implementation of the Opus 20kbit codec. Moreover, the Background Detail settings have received some much-needed improvements, and now include settings like Medium, High, Low, and Off.

"We drastically updated the Voice Chat system last week, please post any issues you find with it to the Bugs forum. It should be significantly better than at any point previously, but we're still working hard to make it as solid as possible, and will eventually add support to the iOS version as well," developers explain.

More tweaks and improvements

Among other interesting updates implemented in the Vendetta Online 1.8.369-370 release, we can mention the addition of an "Account Setup" button in the Login menu. This promises to let players request the devs to recover their lost password via email, but it should also bring the ability for players to see when a mute operation was applied to them.

Other than the above, the ships are now kept around for approximately one minute when the player gets kicked offline because he/she logged in after already being logged into the game. Vendetta Online 1.8.369-370 is now available for free for all existing customers, and new players can get the trial version or purchase a license from the project's website.
