Because the charger won’t be included in the box

One of the most notable upgrades on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is the addition of support for 45W fast charging.

And while this is awesome news considering the substantially reduced time required for recharging the battery, it looks like the feature will come with an extra price of as much as 50 Euros.

A report from Dutch site GalaxyClub reveals that the 45W charger, which comes with model number EP-TA845, would not be included in the box of the Galaxy Note 10, but only sold separately for the price indicated above.

Samsung and its authorized retailers are already getting ready to begin selling Note 10 accessories, including this 45W charger, and it looks like 50 Euros is the recommended selling price. The charger will be available in both black and white, as per the cited source.

Expensive smartphone

On the other hand, the Note 10 will come with a standard 25W fast charger included in the box, and there’s a good chance Samsung would stick with the one that is already offered on the Galaxy S10 5G. This charger has model number EP-TA800 and already offers good recharging times, albeit charging extra for a brand-new feature is something that only Apple typically does.

What’s also important to note is that the Note 10 itself will be a rather expensive model, and the base configuration is expected to cost at least 1,000 Euros here on the Old Continent. This makes charging extra for the 45W unit could cause some frustration among those buying the smartphone.

Samsung is projected to unveil the Galaxy Note 10 on August 7, with sales to begin later the same month. There will be two different Note 10 versions this year, and the larger will feature a 6.7-inch display and also come with a 5G version.
