14 DAY TRIAL // Anno 1800 has been pretty successful for Ubisoft, to the point that the French giant allowed its developer to pump up DLCs for the game like there's no tomorrow. Earlier this week, Ubisoft announced that Anno 1800 will be getting three new DLCs in 2021.
The three DLCs - “Docklands”, “Tourist Season”, and “The High Life”, will be bundled in Season 3 Pass along with 3 exclusive ornaments. The names of the DLCs are kind of self-explanatory in case you're wondering what they're all about. So, expect to be invited to discover harbor trades, tourism, and manage big city-building heights. Players will experience a new way of exporting and promoting their cities thanks to the modular warehouse district, tour busses, and skyscrapers.
The first of the three DLCs, “Docklands” is set to land on February 23. It will allow players to transform their city by building a modular warehouse district, starting with the main building, which is inspired by the world-famous “Speicherstadt” (the world’s largest warehouse district and a UNESCO World Heritage site in Hamburg, Germany).
Moreover, Docklands will provide Anno 1800 with a new way of trading, allowing players to export rare goods and reinforce their economy. Alongside Captain Tobias Morris, who will be the link between the players and companies all over the world, players are given the possibility to encounter interesting exports and become a market leader.
The second DLC included in Season 3 Pass, Tourist Season, will introduce players to the tourism industry. This one is scheduled for spring 2021, while the third DLC, The High Life will be out in Summer 2021.
Newcomers to the series will want to know that there will be two Anno 1800 Year 3 Editions, available as of today: Complete Edition Year 3 (main game, Deluxe Pack, and all 3 season passes), and Gold Edition Year 3 (main game, Deluxe Pack, and Season 3 Pass). These will replace the old editions. In addition to the three DLCs, Anno 1800 will receive free Game Updates to accompany each DLC release, which will focus on improving the gaming experience.
As far as prices go, Season 3 Pass will be available for €19.99, but each DLC can be acquired individually: Docklands - €6.99, Tourist Season - €8.99, and The High Life - €8.99.
