A new alpha build for uTorrent has rolled out. The changelog shows that the development team focused mainly on mending issues. However, there is one new feature available on the list.

New in this build is the possibility to optimize disk I/O by including write-through cache and compacting allocation by file system.

First on the list of repairs is that local peers would no longer be subject to disk congestion limits. Another repair refers to the OK/Cancel buttons that disappeared after horizontal resize of the “Add torrent” dialog.

Additional fixing deals with a problem that prevented the refresh of the torrent list when adding the first torrent via magnet link. Another bug related to magnet link caused torrents to be added to the parent of the desired download folder when not using “Add” dialog.
