Games like Superhot and John Wick: Hex popularized a niche genre – bullet-time shooters. Fights in Tight Spaces offers similar gameplay, but with a twist. This is a turn-based deck builder that focuses on tactical fighting.

The game has been on consoles via Xbox Game Preview since last November, and it will eventually be released on Xbox One, as well as an optimized version for Xbox Series X/S. As far as PC goes, we've just learned that Fights in Tight Spaces will enter Early Access on February 24. Apart from Steam, players will be able to pick this one up from the Epic Games Store and GOG, so that's another good thing.

First and foremost, Fights in Tight Spaces is a deck-building tactical game with turn-based combat and animated fight sequences. The catch is to learn how to balance the cards that you have in your hand, momentum, and positioning, otherwise, the game will seem unfair.

Developers announced their game will feature more than 150 cards that will allow players to build the deck that better suits their playstyles. Besides your deck, you'll be able to use the environment against your opponents, so that's another variable that you should take into consideration.

Fights in Tight Spaces is set in an era where espionage is mostly handled by analysts. You play as a Section Eleven agent, an organization that has a more hands-on approach when it comes to espionage.

You'll be dealing with the sorts of criminal organizations who live and operate outside the realms of electronic communication and your job is to find direct solutions to emerging threats by beating up stuff.

As you progress in the game, you'll be able to upgrade your character's moves add a range of enhancements to their loadouts. Each mission has a main goal, but there multiple ways to reach it depending on the skills and abilities you have at your disposal. Fights in Tight Spaces can be wishlisted on Steam right now, but a demo that includes the first mission is also available for free.
