14 DAY TRIAL // Before Total War: Warhammer 3 comes out later this year, fans of the series will be able to get their hands on a new legendary hero for no money at all. Developer Creative Assembly has just announced Total War: Warhammer 2 players will be offered the chance to get Rakarth, a new legendary hero, for free starting March 18.
To get the new hero, players must log in to Total War Access from March 18 onward, click on the icon for Rakarth and follow the steps to link their Steam account to claim the item to make it appear in the game.
Rakarth is a Dark Elf, also known as Beastlord Rakarth of Karond Kar. His gift for taming beasts is unrivaled as he managed to calm the Black Dragon Bracchus with only a piercing stare. It also helped the fact that they share the same lust for carnage and cruelty.
Total War: Warhammer 2 veterans are most likely interested to know what playstyle Rakarth players must adopt to fully take advantage of the hero's powers and abilities. Well, according to developers, Rakarth is a heavily armored anti-large character who specializes in slaying large monsters and enhancing his own beasts.
However, even though he wears heavy armor, he is a quick and agile fighter capable of wreaking havoc on enemy troops. Also, he can wear some powerful unique items, such as the Whip of Agony, which allows Rakarth to temporarily strip enemy monsters of their ability to cause Fear and Terror. In addition to that, the item will also leave these creatures open to effects like Fear and Terror for a limited time.
Last but not least, Rakarth can be paired with one of three different mounts: Scourgerunner Chariot, Manticore, and Bracchus (his personal Black Dragon). Don't forget that in order to claim the free hero, you'll have to install Total War Access.
