14 DAY TRIAL // THQ Nordic acquired quite a few studios and IPs in the last couple of years, so it’s no wonder that it has so many great games in the works. During its 10th anniversary digital showcase, the publisher revealed several major titles that will make it to PC and consoles in the coming months.
One of the nice surprises is Jagged Alliance 3, the third installment in the series set to arrive on PC more than a decade after the previous title made its debut. Developed by Haemimont Games (Tropico, Surviving Mars, Victor Vran), Jagged Alliance 3 is closer to the original formula that made the Jagged Alliance series popular among fans of the tactical turn-based genre.
Presented as a true successor to the beloved series, Jagged Alliance 3 puts players in the shoes of a leader who commands a mercenary organization in the fictional country of Grand Chien, a land ravaged by a brutal paramilitary force known as “the Legion.”
As expected, the game blends tactically deep, turn-based combat with exploration of a large game world with strategic elements, including gaining control over territories, training local forces, and establishing multiple squads chosen from iconic mercs.
Additionally, developer Haemimont Games announced the game will feature RPG elements such as special perks or level-ups for mercs, as well as the ability to loot and customize your arsenal or weaponry.
Fans of the series will most likely be happy to know that Jagged Alliance 3 will also feature co-op multiplayer mode. That’s about all we know about the game, but that’s more than enough to be excited about what’s coming.
Jagged Alliance 3 will be coming to PC via Steam, but a release date hasn’t been announced yet. In fact, none of the titles revealed during the digital showcase has a launch date, so we’ll just have to wait for more info on each of these newly unveiled titles.
