Hole in the display spotted in the top right corner

We’re only a few weeks away from the moment Samsung is expected to announce the new Galaxy S10, and naturally, alleged leaks keep making the headlines.

This time, what we have here is a purported Galaxy S10 live photo that provides us with a closer look at the design of the device projected to see daylight in February.

As reported by wccftech, the photo, which I recommend you to take with a healthy dose of skepticism, shows a hole in the display in the top right corner, indicating that this is where the front-facing camera will be embedded into the glass.

Samsung will use Infinity O screens on the Galaxy S10, and this new design is based on holes drilled in the screens to allow front-facing parts to be embedded into the glass.

A single front-facing camera

By the looks of things, this particular model, if real, uses a single front-facing camera and not two as suggested by other recent leaks. There’s a chance this may be the base Galaxy S10, referred to by many as Galaxy S10 Lite, and which could come with a 5.8-inch flat screen (without curves) and a dual-camera configuration on the back.

In addition, it looks like the phone indeed features small bezels at the top of the screen, and probably the best thing is that there’s no notch. This is without a doubt the best news for Samsung fans, as the South Korean firm stays away from this super-controversial design approach that has been received with mixed feelings by smartphone users worldwide.

While this leak does seem to align with all the previous reports on the design that Samsung is preparing for the Galaxy S10 lineup, we should still wait for the official press renders that typically reach the web only a few days before the launch.
