Microsoft’s most recent Beta channel release in the Windows Insider program obviously comes with plenty of fixes, and this is something that everybody could anticipate given Windows 11 is projected to start rolling out on October 5.

There are several important bug fixes in this release, and the first of them concerns a Blue Screen which some devices received when entering a modern standby mode.

Microsoft says it has resolved this problem, so in theory, the modern standby should no longer cause a fatal error on these computers. Furthermore, Microsoft says it has addressed a glitch that broke down the Bluetooth connection on some PCs, while also fixing an error causing artifacts in title bars when enabling and disabling a contrast theme.

There are also fixes for a bug causing subtitles to no longer show up, especially in Japanese.

Then, the changelog reveals Windows 11 build 22000.194 includes fixes for typing with certain IMEs.

“Mitigated an issue when typing with certain 3rd party IMEs into the search box in Settings that could result in the candidate window being rendered elsewhere on-screen (not attached to the search box) and/or characters inserted into the search box not displaying,” the company explains.

Still in preview stage though

And last but not least, Microsoft has also included a patch for problems experienced with PowerShell on Windows 11 devices where a preview build was installed.

“We fixed an issue that causes PowerShell to create an infinite number of child directories. This issue occurs when you use the PowerShell Move-Item command to move a directory to one of its children. As a result, the volume fills up and the system stops responding,” it says.

Keep in mind that despite Microsoft fixing more and more bugs in Windows 11, the operating system is still in preview stage, so other issues could still be encountered when running it.
