Microsoft keeps refining Windows 11 ahead of launch

Microsoft has recently released a new Windows 11 build, and this time, there are three important changes that are included in the new feature category.

However, given Windows 11 is just around the corner, we obviously shouldn’t expect any massive improvements, especially as Microsoft needs to make sure everything is running as smoothly as possible.

So the first new feature included in Windows 10 build 22454 is the revamped context menu that now shows up for the Recycle Bin on the desktop.

As everybody knows already, Windows 11 comes with a visual facelift, as the operating system brings the Fluent Design language, including the acrylic effect, to more UI parts, while also switching to rounded corners for a more modern approach.

And with this new release, Microsoft is bringing the same treatment to the Recycle Bin context menu too.

The second new feature is an option that shows up when you right-click a network share in File Explorer. Thanks to this addition, users can now pin this network share to Quick Access without expanding the context menu by clicking the Show more options category.

Significantly improved Korean IME

And last but not least, Microsoft has added a series of improvements specifically aimed at the Korean IME.

“We have begun releasing an updated version of the Korean IME with adjustments made based on Windows Insider feedback. We believe this will provide a more reliable input experience for Korean on Windows 11. The updated version of the Korean IME follows the new visual design of Windows 11 with acrylic in the candidate window, a new selection visual, and dark mode support. It also improves improved performance and compatibility. The updated Korean IME is rolling out to a subset of Insiders in the Dev Channel first, to help us quickly identify issues that may impact performance and reliability. Over time, it will roll out to everyone in the Dev Channel,” it says.

All these changes are available today for the Dev channel in the Windows Insider program.
